MEGA BUNDLE: Ghost Towns Zines Series Collection Vol. 1 (Red Coat Trail, Alberta Coal Branch, Drumheller Valley) - Physical & Digital Editions

Bundle together the first three zines in my Ghost Towns of Alberta series and get both the physical and digital versions!

I've been creating zines in the Ghost Towns of Alberta series to show the historical rise and fall of once-prosperous communities throughout the province of Alberta, along with illustrations and even a map you can use to plan your own adventure to see these gems of history.

This collection brings together the first three zines created between 2022-2023:

1. Ghost Towns of Southern Alberta Along the Historic Red Coat Trail
   This zine focuses on communities along the historic Red Coat Trail, a transportation corridor that roughly traced the path of the "March West" by the North West Mounted Police in 1874. Settlement, agriculture, and rail links saw these communities thrive. But why did they end up lost to time?This zine was shortlisted for a 2023 Broken Pencil Magazine Zine Award for the category "Best Info Zine".
2. Ghost Towns of the Alberta Coal Branch
   This zine focuses on communities along the historic Alberta Coal Branch, a spur line of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway along the Eastern Slopes of the mighty Canadian Rockies. This rail line transformed rough work camps into thriving communities where families lived and great coal seams were mined to satisfy a seemingly insatiable hunger for the energy source they produced. But what happened to these once-prosperous mines and communities in order to end up lost to time?
3. Ghost Towns of the Drumheller Valley
   This zine focuses on communities in the historic Drumheller Valley, where a region now called the "Valley of the Dinosaurs" was once referred to as the "Valley of Coal". Some of the province's first coal ventures were in this valley, and the region was home to 139 coal mines over the course of the 20th century. But why did the mines close and so many of these communities end up lost to time?

You get it all: the physical versions plus the digital versions of all three zines. The physical zines are printed onto 28# bright white paper and packaged in an envelope printed with extra artwork and closed with a removable label. The complete packaged zines will be shipped inside a separate envelope for protection while in transit. The digital versions are in PDF format and include the artwork featured on the front of the envelope packaging of the physical edition of the zine.
